The Kwek Society Receives Native Voices Rising Grant
Grant supports Native-led initiatives that empower Indigenous communities
Arlington, VA (November 25, 2024) – The Kwek Society, an Indigenous-led and -focused nonprofit centered around ending period poverty in Indigenous communities, is thrilled to announce that they have been chosen to receive a generous grant titled the Native Voices Rising Grant. Native Voices Rising is a collaborative grantmaking initiative between Native Americans in Philanthropy and Common Counsel Foundation, created to support Native-led grassroots and advocacy efforts.
The Kwek Society Receives Grant from Waub Ajijaak Press & Foundation
Arlington, VA (Sept. 18, 2024) – The Kwek Society, an indigenous-led and -focused nonprofit centered around ending period poverty in Indigenous communities, is excited to announce they are a recipient of a $10,000 grant from the Waub Ajijaak Press & Foundation. The Waub Ajijaak Press & Foundation is a non-profit publisher that uses philanthropy to challenge the funding disparity faced by Native American-led nonprofits. The grant awarded to The Kwek Society provides general operations support of $10,000 for one year.
