Solen Public School District #3

Standing Rock Reservation, North Dakota

Solen Public School District #3 is located on the Standing Rock Indian Reservation. It consists of Solen High School and Cannon Ball Elementary School. Its rural location creates barriers to obtaining well-priced period care – e.g., the nearest grocery stores are a nearly 30-minute drive for families. The Kwek Society supports students by shipping a wide variety of pads, liners, tampons, and cotton underwear. We also provided puberty education books at the start of our partnership in 2024, and coordinated with the nonprofit Bras for Girls to furnish more than 200 sports bras to Solen students.
