Salmon River Central School District

In December 2025 we added our first set of schools in New York State, the four schools that comprise the Salmon River Central School District. The District is located in the northernmost reaches of New York State. Its education program is housed in two separate facilities. The campus complex, which houses the Salmon River Elementary, Salmon River Middle School and Salmon River High School, is located in Fort Covington. The St. Regis Mohawk School, a Pre-K through grade 5 school, is located in Akwesasne. The St. Regis Mohawk School is surrounded by the St. Regis Mohawk Reservation and serves about 350 Mohawk children.

Ahead of the schools’ winter break, we shipped out hundreds of moon time bags filled with pads and liners, each sewn by one of our supporters, over a hundred Passage books, and boxes of period care. We are grateful to our NSDAR contacts in New York for connecting us to District Nurse Genevieve Deon, and we are excited to support Salmon River students’ moon times.
