Fort Washakie School

We began our partnership with Fort Washakie Schools in May 2019. This three-stack complex of schools sits on the high plains with a breathtaking view of the Wind River Mountains. The Eastern Shoshone population of approximately 4,200 people, which is situated primarily around Fort Washakie, forms the basis of student enrollment.

Our contact at Fort Washakie Schools is counselor Karen Harms. We were thrilled to hear that Fort Washakie Schools includes period supplies in the school budget. Our support is limited to providing moon time bags made by our supporters and filled with period supplies for distribution during puberty education classes.
