Miccosukee Indian School

Miccosukee Indian School

Miccosukee Reserved Area, Florida

We began our partnership with Miccosukee Indian School in March 2026. The K-12 school is situated on the Miccosukee Reserved Area within the boundaries of Everglades National Park. It had been a Bureau of Indian Affairs school; in 1971 the Miccosukee Tribe took over control, making it the first tribally-controlled school no longer overseen by the BIA. MIS is committed to empowering the students by emphasizing the importance and values of the Miccosukee language, culture, and traditions so they are able to pass it on to future generations.

This is our first partnership in the state of Florida. We now are supporting 80 Miccosukee students with period care.
