Solen Public School District #3

Standing Rock Reservation, North Dakota

Solen Public School District #3 is located on the Standing Rock Indian Reservation. It consists of Solen High School and Cannon Ball Elementary School. Its rural location creates barriers to obtaining well-priced period care – e.g., the nearest grocery stores are a nearly 30-minute drive for families. Traci Peterson, Solen’s Title I coordinator and Homeless Liaison, contacted us in October 2024 about assisting Solen students. We responded by shipping the wide variety of pads, liners, tampons, and cotton underwear we offered, supplied puberty education books Traci selected, and coordinated with the nonprofit Bras for Girls to furnish more than 200 sports bras to Solen students.
