Red Cloud Indian School

Red Cloud High School is part of the Red Cloud Indian School complex, a private, Roman Catholic, K–12 school in Pine Ridge, South Dakota. It serves Oglala Lakota Native American students on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation. In spring 2019, The Kwek Society helped implement Red Cloud High School senior Tierra Baird’s Senior Service Project. Tierra’s project entailed raising awareness about period poverty and obtaining funding to install tampon and pad dispensers in the school bathroom so students had ready access to period supplies. Our ongoing role is to keep those dispensers filled. We continue to do this with the help of many supporters. We also furnish other menstrual supplies as requested by Red Cloud students and staff.
